Art, I) der Inbegriff mehrerer Einzelwesen, die in gewissen, oft zufälligen Eigenschaften miteinander übereinkommen: genus (Gattung). – species (eine einzelne Klasse aus dieser Gattung). – forma (die charakteristische, ausgeprägte Gattung, der Rede, der Beredsamkeit, orationis, eloquentiae, dicendi, loquendi u. dgl.). – in der Logik; species. forma. pars (Ggstz. genus). – von derselben A., eiusdem generis: Dinge von dieser A., genus hoc rerum: aller od. jeder A., omnis generis (z. Weise, wie etw. geschieht, gemacht ist u. dgl.). – via (die Weise, wie auf sicherem Wege sich eins nach dem andern entwickelt); verb. ratio et via; ratio et modus: ratio et consuetudo. – genus (die Verfahrungsweise, z.
